What is a World Trade Center? More than a building or an organization, a World Trade Center brings together businesses involved in international trade from around the globe. There are nearly 300 World Trade Centers in over 90 countries. World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania members may utilize the services and facilities of all 300 World Trade Centers throughout the globe. These worldwide privileges include meeting and club facilities, trade information and education services, exhibit space, access to temporary office space, videoconferencing facilities, secretarial and translation services. What is the World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania? The World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania is a business association with over 150 member companies from throughout the Central Pennsylvania area. While members represent a variety of industry sectors, each member shares a common interest in international trade. How did the World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania originate? The organization was previously a business association known as the Southcentral Pennsylvania International Network (SPIN). In order to expand member services and put our members in touch with a global network, SPIN became a member of the World Trade Centers Association and became the World Trade Center Harrisburg. In 2004, the World Trade Center Harrisburg changed its name to reflect a more regional membership base and changed its name to the World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania. How will membership benefit my company? The World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania offers its members reduced rates to seminars and networking events. Member links are listed on the World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania web site, www.wtccentralpa.org and member news is published in the monthly newsletter. An annual membership directory is published and shared among members. Members have access to product and market research, a referral network, and special trade initiatives. In addition, WTC of Central Pennsylvania members may utilize the services and facilities of all 300 World Trade Centers around the globe. Each member has access to the WTCA On-line, an Internet based import/export information service featuring worldwide databases and free trade lead opportunities for members. What is the WTCA? The World Trade Centers Association, headquartered in New York City, is the umbrella organization for nearly 300 World Trade Centers in over 90 countries. The association stands outside politics across national boundaries, in service to those who develop and facilitate international trade. World Trade Center members can access additional services through the association web site, www.wtca.org.
